Step Rivals is a competitive step tracking app that lets users compete with friends and teams. Your privacy is important to us.
When you use Step Rivals, we collect the following information through Google Sign-In: your name, email address, and profile photo. We also collect step count data from Apple Health (iOS) or Health Connect (Android) when you choose to sync your steps.
Your information is used solely to provide the Step Rivals experience: displaying your profile, tracking steps, powering leaderboards, and enabling team challenges. We do not sell, share, or distribute your personal information to third parties.
Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore). Only authenticated users can access app data.
Step Rivals reads step count data from Apple Health or Google Health Connect. We only read step counts — no other health data is accessed. This data is used exclusively for in-app challenges and leaderboards.
Step Rivals uses the following third-party services: Google Firebase (authentication and data storage), Google Sign-In (account authentication), and Apple HealthKit / Google Health Connect (step data).
You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us. Upon request, all your data will be permanently removed from our systems.
Step Rivals is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
